It’s the middle of summer and that is prime box office season. 2022 is the year we all get to return to the theater, just like Tom Cruise in this random-ass out-of-touch tweet from a few years ago. So far 2022 has had a decent showing, with plenty of movies waiting in the wings to finally make their debut on the silver screen. Here is a list of every movie I’ve seen released in 2022. Click on each title to see the full review if available.

June Movie Review Blitz
June Movie Blitz – Here’s everything I watched since my last movie blitz. I’m planning on posting again regularly once Thor: Love and Thunder is released. Seems like a good place to pick back up.
May Movie Review Blitz
May Movie Blitz – I’ve been MIA for a few weeks (busy busy busy) and haven’t had time to write or record so here’s a movie review blitz.
Wayne’s World
Wayne’s World – Party on
The Lost City
The Lost City – A dumb love story with some action bolted on without any real chemistry from the main cast. The Lost City is not worth the ticket price but might be worth the rental for a rainy afternoon.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent – An exercise in meta storytelling, with lots of real-world commentary. It’s a great concept with lots of potential payoff but it comes off as incredibly shallow but not quite boring.
That 70s Show
Series Suggestion – That 70s Show – A unique sitcom in the fact that it is completely analog. There isn’t a cell phone or laptop to be seen and it is incredibly refreshing. There are instantly quotable lines in many episodes and it creates a feeling of familiarity with the cast like you’re just hanging out with em.
Young Frankenstein
Young Frankenstein – An absurdly funny classic comedy from the genius mind of Mel Brooks, brought to life by the one and only Gene Wilder.
Everything Everywhere All at Once – An astounding and refreshing A24 sci-fi dark comedy starring Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu.
Who’s In The Box – S5E05 – I, Tonya – This week we watched the stranger than fiction story of Tonya Harding in I, Tonya on Hulu. Listen to the end of the episode to hear what we watch next so you can play along with us and figure out who’s in the box!
