Step Brothers – an irreverent comedy from Adam McKay, starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. This absurd movie is a classic fixture of the late 2000s.
Don’t Worry Darling is a great looking movie with an above average story. The sizable twist at the end of the picture creates a mostly satisfying conclusion, even if it is a little derivative of more popular properties. The insane amount of drama surrounding this movie is off the charts stupid. That’s going to be the reason why a lot of people go and see this movie or decide to skip it. But whether you choose to see it out of curiosity or genuine interest in a flashy new thriller, you will most likely be entertained – just don’t expect greatness comparable to the likes of the inspired source material .
The Help – With an absolute all star cast of Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain, and Bryce Dallas Howard, this movie is incredibly well written and performed.
10 Things I hate About You is a sweet and hilarious movie starring all time greats in Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles. After gaining more popularity and experiencing a modern day resurgence, it was high time to give it a watch.
The Color of Money – Exceptional performances from the leading trio of Paul Newman, Tom Cruise, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Martin Scorsese directs this hustling classic.
Pinocchio – A live action remake, this classic fairy tale barely resembles the original. With useless modernization and an over reliance on CGI, Pinocchio is soulless and disappointing.
The Iron Giant – This is currently number 250 on the IMDb top 250 movies of all times list. And what a fine movie it is.
Weekend Watchlist Sept 1, 2022 – The Lord of the Rings trilogy. One of the greatest trilogies ever made.
The Parent Trap – The classic 90s Disney live action movie that introduced Lindsay Lohan. A surprisingly fun and lovingly made remake of the original 1961 picture.
Rogue One is an exceptional Star Wars story with detail, grit, and fan service in every scene. It is one of the best additions to the franchise in a very long time and remains one of my favorite Star Wars things to date.
