The Nightmare Before Christmas – one of my fiancé’s favorite movies, it was high time I gave this one a watch. Tim Burton, Henry Selick, and Danny Elfman bring this whimsical and classic movie to life.
The Last Duel – a period piece drama from Ridley Scott, #TheLastDuel is a bold and exciting film.
Corpse Bride – This week’s mini review is brought to you by my lovely fiance and gamemaster extraordinaire.
No Time To Die is a strong, but safe conclusion, to Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond. Smart, funny, and well written, Cary Joji Fukunaga brings this iteration to a close with the help of Rami Malek, Ana De Armas, and a host of other A-listers in this enjoyable Bond flick.
Quantum of Solace – The direct sequel to the smash hit Casino Royale that fails to live up to the hype of the first Craig era Bond movie. Succeeded by the acclaimed Skyfall, Quantum of Solace stands alone.
Venom: Let There be Carnage – A fun popcorn movie that excels where the original failed by leaning into the banter and relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom. The “Lethal Protectors” will return and I’m all for it.
Casino Royale – The Daniel Craig era of James Bond begins by setting a high bar for the rest of the series.
Free Guy – better than it should be, Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer headline this videogame / social commentary / comedy hybrid.
Cruella – A smart and well rounded cast and crew turned what could have been another live action remake flop into an incredibly enjoyable movie.
