The Goonies Review

The town of Astoria is home for a group of young friends who love their town dearly. But Astoria is facing bankruptcy and will soon be the site of new land developments that will force all of them to move away and separate. When Mikey Walsh finds an old treasure map in the attic where his dad keeps extra museum pieces, him and his friends run off to find the treasure that might just save their town.

The Goonies is incredible. It is a timeless classic from the minds of Richard Donner (Superman), Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Catch Me If You Can, Close Encounters of The Third Kind), and Chris Columbus (Harry Potter). It’s got just as much punch and impact on modern audiences as it did back in 1985. It’s a fun and exciting movie that checks all the boxes.

The Goonies is available to stream on HBO Max.
