My top 3 picks for this weekend are :
- The Thing
- John Carpenter’s The Thing might just be one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s suspenseful and intriguing with the brilliant Kurt Russell and Keith David. Read a little more about my thoughts on The Thing here.
- The Shining
- Stephen King is a master of horror and has been for decades. Stanley Kubrick was a master director for decades as well so pairing these two together could end in greatness or failure. The Shining is one of the greats and it’s not even close.
- The Prestige
- Christopher Nolan brings his unique vision and eye for creative storytelling to the realm of prestidigitation in 1890s London. Don’t go reading up on it, just let the magic unfold on screen.
