Gandhi Review

Gandhi is a movie I would never have bothered to watch if it weren’t for this IMDb top 250 list. Landing in at #248, David Attenborough’s Gandhi is an incredibly entertaining and smartly written biopic. Starring Ben Kingsley, this 3 hour movie moves quickly and keeps the audience entertained while making sure all the relevant information is doled out quickly. As a US mid-west resident, the historical events of the eastern world weren’t really something that my teachers talked about in my public education. I think that this is a movie that many would benefit from seeing, even if there are some inaccuracies and concessions made because it’s a dramatic retelling made to sell tickets.

Gandhi is available to stream on Hulu.

Dylan created Movies Not Films as a fun project to stay occupied during the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He started with a simple movie diary on a spreadsheet and eventually transformed it into MoviesNotFilms.com with a robust catalog of reviews, suggestions, and ranking lists. Currently living with his now-fiancé and two dogs, Dylan has a full-time career but still makes time to watch all the latest movies and most of the new TV shows.
