Everybody should be familiar with the idea of Easter Eggs. They’re little plastic eggs filled with candy or money that your parents might have hid around the house. Now take that same concept and apply it to movies and tv shows. The media is the plastic egg and the treat inside is a little visual nod or design cue added to reference another piece of pop culture.
Easter Eggs are fun to find and most movies have at least one. Watch your favorite movie a couple times and I’m sure you’ll find one or two. Maybe the director is a fan of a famous movie themselves. Or the composer for the movie score pays homage to another famous composer. There are hundreds of great easter eggs out there and with the help of an Instagram buddy called The Queue, we put together a list of the top 10 best easter eggs.
