When her entire family is killed by a corrupt DEA agent (Gary Oldman, Mathilda (Natalie Portman) turns to her quiet neighbor across the hall. Léon (Jean Reno) reluctantly takes her under his protection to save her. However, Léon is not the quiet, unassuming man he appears to be. He is a trained killer, a professional hitman. Mathilda begs Léon to teach her what he knows so that she can exact revenge on the men who killed her family.

With plenty of action and an iconic performance from both Jean Reno and Gary Oldman, Léon is an amazing movie and an instant classic. However, the sexual undertones do raise a few red flags and can be a bit difficult to let slide.

Léon The Professional is currently streaming on HBO Max.
