Quantum of Solace

The second Daniel Craig Entry into the Bond Franchise, Quantum of Solace fails to capture the feeling and effect of the previous movie.

James Bond is on the heels of a shadowy organization that seeks to capture billions of dollars in natural resources in underdeveloped nations. Following an assassination attempt on M, Bond discovers a name that leads him down a path of revenge for the death of his lost love, Vesper Lynd.

Like many others, I consider Quantum of Solace to be among the weaker Craig era Bond movies. Bond and insatiable revenge don’t really mix for me, but that’s not to say the whole movie is bad. It’s certainly got all the gorgeous locations, excellent writing, and fast-paced action that’s expected from a Bond movie. The story is just not as engaging as its predecessors. All in all, it’s a rather OK sequel.

Quantum of Solace is available to stream on Prime Video and No Time To Die is releasing in theaters this week.
